Logline:
Three years after a horrific war, a small school struggles with their traumas, forgiveness, and thirst for revenge. For the teachers who fought in the war, their students just might save them.

The teachers were all once special forces, militia, and assassins who seem intent on finding a new calling in education as the city (formerly Los Angeles, now called Las Velas) rebuilds after America's second civil war. However, led by the infamous Warmind Athena (Aurora), they continue to hunt the war criminals left untouched after the conflict's end... until they find out their students are the ones protecting them. Where do they draw the line between redemption and revenge... and how long can the teachers keep their identities a secret from their own students?

(The fire is foreshadowing to Aurora's namesake/alias, Operation Aurora Borealis, in which they led a counter offensive that nearly burned the entire Los Angeles area to the ground. After 10 days, over a million people would be killed by the combined fighting. It was considered the final stand for the last of the Warminds, and revenge for the Candle Hill Massacre... until Aurora reappears upon escaping a death camp).
